    tranny rebuild questions?

    im going to rebuild my tranny pretty soon and saw this kit

    im not sure what kits are good, bad, or what people have found to be great. im just looking to have something that will handle a little more power than stock. maybe 230 hp. right now my converter doesnt go into lockup and my torque converter buzzes at a higher rpm. i want to get a higher stall converter and a tranny to hold the power. my friend is good with 700r4s and i know i will need a book and the rebuild kit. do i need anything else, or do i have to buy new solenoids?

    what else is involved or should i do? im going to put in a trans cooler and a shift kit.

    can i rebuild my tranny using my exsisting shift kit?

      Looks like regular stuff. If you're looking into higher HP stuff, check out the thread PewterBird started for a site with some good information about transmissions.

      You can also do a search and see what you come up with.
