yest it will fit

yes you will have to correct your speedo

[quote: I have no clue.....] yes if you 'bolt it in' yourself you will probably have problems with it. Richmond gears have some notariety for whinning on their own when installed by a pro. It takes a pro to install a set of gears properly (nothing against you, its just this is a mod that MOST people here should let someone else do). You are probably looking for trouble if you do it yourself. Expect install to be in the $300 range.

300 thats not bad now when I take it in will the also be able to fix the speedo? And where would be the best place to take it? A trans shop or something since it is part of my drivetrain......

      Thanks ellik

no, the installer will not be able to correct the speedo. the best option for correcting gears is getting a custom tune for your pcm. www.texas-speed.com gears will be just a portion of what they do for it, but it will all be good. there is nothing wrong with driving the car before you get it done, just be aware of how far off the speedo is. tell us what gears you have in there now and we can tell you how much it will be off.

as far as install..... it depends. It took me quite a while to find someone who knew how to do the install. I went to several shops and they told me that there are so few RWD cars now that none of the (younger) mechanics that they have know how to properly set them up. I ended up goin g to a guy who primarily worked on trucks (semi's and UPS trucks and what not). He rebuilds the rearends for them on a regular basis and being a car-guy himself he was more than happy to do it and did an excellent job. Absolutely no noise from the gears. As a side note, he refused to install Richmonds because of their tendancey to make noise and didnt want to do anything that would in some way come back to hurt his reputation. Anyway, you will probably need to shop around a little bit to find someone who knows what they are doing.

Im not trying to say not buy the setup, especially if you can get it at a really good price. If not, then I would recommend Motive gears. nothing wrong with an Eaton posi.
