On the passenger side of the differential housing is a female hex plug. Use a 3/8" rachet, without a socket, and remove the plug. Stick your "pinky" finger in the hole. There should be some oil on your finger. If not, fill the differential with gear oil to the bottom of the hole.

Under normal driving conditions this gear oil should be changed at about 90,000 to 100,000 miles.
