Shift Kit and Corvette Servo Install time?

Title says it. How long will it take to install a TransoGO shift kit and Corvette servo?

2-3 hours if it's your first time, less if you know what you're doing.

Mine took about 5 hours in my driveway....most of the time was spent with the valvebody....I forgot to put the check balls in until I had the thing almost put back together. I had to drop the tranny a little because I replaced all the servos and I had a problem getting one of them out.

what is a corvette servo and what does that do

does it come with the transgo shift kit?

also what kit should i get for my 2000 v6 so that it still shifts automatically

A corvette servo is just an upgraded 2-4 servo that applies the 2-4 band in your tranny. No, it doesn't come with the Transgo shift kit, you can get them http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L60E.htm there. You can also buy bigger servos, which isn't a bad idea at all for $90. Bigger 2-4 servo = Much firmer 1-2 and 3-4 shifts (correct me if I'm wrong). If you want to go all out replace your 2-4 band with a kevlar one. I've used that site many times to order parts for my tranny, very good.

Here is the data on teh vette servo, it does firm up the 1-2 shift

Yeah, it'll firm up your 1-2 and 2-3 shift. I'd go with the raptor over the vette servo though. You'll notice a big difference.

I got both oversize billet servos when I put my shift kit in...they work great.
