  • TransGo HELP!!!!

Ok I just got done installing a TransGo shiftkit and Corvette servo. When I tried to get the car into gear nothing happened. I can shift up to neutral. When I try to go into drive the shifter won't move. When I put it in reverse nothing happens, the wheels don't turn. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Sounds like something wasnt put together right. You say when you try to go past Neutral into drive the shifter wont move? Check the external linkage on the driver side of the tranny, make sure it is connected right. If it is drop the tranny pan, and make sure that "arm" is connected properly, I dont know what it's called but it's that PITA thing that you had to screw with when you were putting the VB back on, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I'd put my money on that. Good luck.

If it isn't connected properly chances are none of the gears will engage. Make sure both the electrical connectors are connected too. Like I said though, I'm willing to bet it's that link in the VB.

Mine was in the 3rd groove I believe...just test it out before putting the pan back...you can move the shift lever without actually turning the car on.

Check the video...it shows it I think.

I don't think the show it directly but I can get a good idea. I also figured out today that the snap ring on the main pressure valve wasn't even close to where it needed to go.

Ok well today I tested the car out. The wheels turn except now it makes a grinding/wining noise when it shifts. I think thats b/c the servo cover snap ring popped off. I HATE THAT **** RING!!!!
