I know this has probably been discussed here a million times but please help this newbie out ;)
I have a '94 Bird with a relatively stock 3.4 (SLP exhaust and intake getting put on next week) and I have decided to upgrade my rear. I am interested in a LSD with 3.42 (3.73 would be too high for the engine I think, right?). But before I begin searching the junkyards and want ads, do I need to be aware of any special needs and do I have the specs right? I think I will need a GM 10-bolt 7-1/2 or 7-5/8 inch unit with a 28 spline, no? Will the ABS be affected by the swap or will I need special adaptive equipment? If I decide to go the route of an entire rear axle swap, will any 93-97 V8 rear come with 3.42's and an LSD? I have also heard that, with a compatible axle, all I will have to purchase are e-brake cables. True?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
