• can I resure the reluctor ring when I swap the diffy?

talked to Kristen and she says the diffy she has dosen't have the reluctor ring with it. can I use the one I have in my rear or do I need to go buy one? I searched and came across something that said you need to change it out if you swap carriers but I don't have to do that, so does that mean I am in the clear? I think ftpp.net has them for $20 anyway. thanks

you shouldnt need to switch reluctor rings if you're using the same size carrier..unless theres an issue with the new carrier being made not to accept a reluctor ring

A carrier is a differential....ie, it "carries" the ring gear.

You have 3.23s now, that means 3-series. Assuming you're staying with 3-series, you can reuse the ABS reluctor ring on the new differential.

The problem is only if you're swapping from series 2 to 3, then you'd have to get a new reluctor ring, but that doesn't affect you.
