I had a 94 M5 with 105,000+ miles on it, my clutch had been getting hard for about 10,000 miles but I kept putting changing it off. I was making a left hand turn and shifting from the 1-2 the clutch pedal went to the floor and I had to drift into a parking lot. Look under the car and there was my slave cylinder hanging down. luckily I was just 1 mile from my shop and a guy was able to hard shift it back for me. The mount on my bellhousing for my slave cylinder had cracked off when the cluth became to hard. needless to say my cost on the new bellhousing from GM was $100 + the cost of new clutch pack and slave cylinder. Next time I have a manual the first sign of my clutch getting hard it will get changed. After I turned my flywheel and installed all the new parts it felt like a hot knife through butter.
