    need help

    I'm getting a SES soon code of 1870 which states:
    General Motors P1870 Transmission Component Slipping
    what does this mean do I need a new tranny and should I get out my extended warranty info?

    It's almost always a worn out TCC Regulator Valve bore.

      Thanks but what does that mean? I'm totally clueless when it comes to a tranny can I do it at home or do I need to take it to the shop?

        Don't do tranny work yourself. Go to a few trans shops and get some opinions.
