  • Brake Problem

I just installed my rear disc brakes and now I noticed the rotors are showing awkward signs of wear.

    Check It Out

the outer portion of the rotor is only making contact with the pads. the inside is not. i took it to a shop and they told me the rotors could not be machined and that i would need new ones so i went and bought some. i have the same problem, but only on the driver's side. the passenger side seems to be okay, but now it makes a weird squeak. i just tore the axleshafts out and the bearings and seals on those seem okay, i just dont know if theyre bent or not. if they are would this solve my problem? anyone help?

Look at the two posts I put at the bottom. That is probably the solution to your uneven brake wear.

If that doesnt solve the problem, replace the calipers. That kind of wear can only be caused by the hardware in the calipers, or the calipers themselves. In fact. My rear rotors are actually wearing like that. Good luck. ;)
