    well i have a 96 camaro w/o the Y87 option. i heard about changing gear ratio .. what does that do to the performance of the car?

    look on your door panel and see what gear your running, GU5 is 3.23 and GU6 is 3.42
    if your already running a 3.42 then your good, but if your running a 3.23 and you up to a 3.42 u will drop some time in the quarter, but loose a tiny bit of your top speed
