one word to describe it....Wow. I had the TC and driveshaft put in, as well as a tranny service and new front seal put in. it took the whole day, but it was worth it. I love how transparent the difference is. It's like, I haven't done anything tothe car, and then when u think ur going 35, ur really going 50. It accelerates so much more easily now than it used to w/ the stock converter and stock 1 pc. steel driveshaft. I'm glad I got the lower control arms put on friday, because they really helped my launches. When I punched it before, w/ the lca's on, I'd dead hook. now, I burn out for about 3-4 seconds, then I hook. This is with:
BMR chrome-moly poly/rubber LCA's(MTCA002)
1LE rear swaybar(21mm.)
Falken 255-50-ZR16 tires(3/4 tread left)
SLP LSD w/ stock 3.42 rear gears
It feels like I've gained power everywhere. The TC took care of the off the line, and the driveshaft took care of the higher speeds. I granny it now, and it feel like I have my foot about 1/3 in it now. Anyone can drive the car normally w/o suspecting anything has been done. That's what I call a "transparent power increase". you can see though it, thinking nothing has changed, but when u look at the acceleration difference, u know something has been changed. TC specs are:
3000 stall
2.55 str
96.8% eff.
I'd like to give thanks to Andre at Edge for getting me such a great streetable converter. I am very suprised at how much better the car feels now with it in, and it's not a hardcore TC either. I just wonder how 3.0 stall would feel off the line. This guy knows what he's doing with his converters and I will vouch for that.
