night rider, did u notice a difference in performance with it?
i know it will make some difference in power response but is it really worth the ~$200 price tag?

I have a 98 Z28 and it has the aluminum driveshaft. Did GM switch to a steel one some time after that?? Is there any difierence in the 1LE one then mine?? Questions we all want to know. In 99 aluminum became standard on all V8s.Comment

You might notice a slight increase, especially since you M5 guys have a 2-piece steel shaft (i think). I had a 1-piece steel, so i didn't feel a significant increase but i really wanted to reduce unsprung weight.
