  • How hard to install this?

I am getting a z28 rear end and gears. I am going to get the whole rear end so i wont have to worry about lineing up the gears or anything. So will the z28 rear just bolt right up to my car? I have drum brakes in the back so just wondering if its a complicated install.

depends on how new your new-old rear is and what options it has.

some things (traction control, especially) will not line right up.

I dont have traction control. I dont know if a 93-97 z28 does or not. That will be the years i will be swapping into it. i have a 96. Would it be better to just get it and let someone install it? or will it be a direct bolt in? I know my dads 96 z28 doesnt have traction control.

as long as it has the same brake setup you should be fine.
