For some reason my car didn't downshift today for a few seconds. I stop on a red light and when the light changed to green and I step in the gas pedal the car started moving very slowly. After a few seconds and after realizing the car didin't downshift I WOT the car and I felt the car downshift. After that, the car worked ok. Is this normal to happen? or is this a sign that something is going bad in my transmission?
Thanks for any help.

Do you get any harsh shifting? check your tranny fluid.
Yeah I would check the fluid level, condition, color, and smell.
After that, I would suspect maybe a bad solenoid or something that tells it to shift back into 1st gear. Although I haven't heard of that happening on one of these, I remember this happening on another GM transmission, the 3T-40 [FWD], and that was the prescribed solution.
I'm not an expert, though. Check the easy stuff first. Some of the solenoids are accessible [I think] without dropping more than just the pan.

At least it's shifting My friend has a mustang that the TQ convertor is fuxored and sometimes at WOT it goes all the way to 7k before it shifts... (of course he is the idiot who lets it go all the way to 7k but still)

Today I checked the tranny fluid and it seems it has way more fluid than it should. Do you guys think that's why that happened?
is there any other reason to why that happened? Should I worry about that since it hasn't happened again?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I don't think having too much tranny fluid is a good thing, but i would suggest you refer to your owner's manual and check the fluid level again to get an accurate reading. Sometimes it depends how and when you check the fluid.
If it's been a while since your last fluid and filter change, now would probably be a good time. Otherwise i would say just drain some of the fluid out to bring the level down. Don't worry if you drain too much out, it's much easier to just add a little bit. One thing i found out on my own, it doesn't take much to bring it from the bottom of the dipstick to the top where it should be. So add a little at a time until you get it where it needs to be.

Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
