i think i might be able to get my hands on a 1 piece alum driveshaft from a 95Z, oh yeah mine is a 94 3.4, would this fit ok, and are the gains worth the $$100. second, how hard is the install? third, what ratio gears would be a good upgrade, 3:42's??? any reviews, if i can get the gears from the Z, should i?

      Yes it should fit.
Yes it's an easy install. You should be able to do it yourself although having a buddy help is always good, especially when loosening the ubolts that hold it on, you can rotate the shaft and tell your buddy to put on the parking brake so you don't have to keep going out and getting back under.

Yes, 3.42's would be a good upgrade as would a posi. If the gears and posi are in good condition and 3.42's, take them from the Z.

Not necessarily. All 94+ 6spd's should have 3.42's. All Z's should have a posi as far as I know. Check the door for RPO code GU6. That's the code for a 3.42. I think GU8 is for a posi.

If the Z is an auto, it has 3.23 gears with posi. Posi, or LSD, is G80, not gu8 ;)

Doh, I meant G80, thanks for catching that.

Remember though, the auto Z could possibly have 2.73's too.
