Okay, the past few days I've heard a screeching sound coming from the rear of my car. I seem to only hear it when the car is cold and around 1100-1300 rpms. I'll hear it for a sec. and that's it. I'll hear it for a sec. in those rpm ranges and after a few minutes of driving I don't hear it anymore. I haven't had a chance to get under the car yet to check anything. I'm scared that it could be my tranny, I got my oil changed Sunday and they told me I needed a transmission service(change fluid and filter) because there was black metal in my fluid i guess? They just said something about black metal somewhere but since I haven't had any transmission issues I said whatever and now all of a sudden this!!!!!!! Do you think it could be the tranny making this noise?
