  • Single peice drive line?

My 2000 firebird apears to have a one peice drive line. The information on this site mentioned that only the automatics got the one peice. My car is a manual 5 spd. Is it possible that it is a one peice or am I not looking for the joint in the right place?

Where does it say that? The Technical Database says 1999 and on had a single DS.

I think he's talking about out in the posts. Those of us with 98's (transition year) well the autos have 1 piece manuals have 2 piece.. at least I guess that's what he's talking about.. either way man if your driveshaft isn't spit in two by this big funky bearing mounted to the torque arm.. then yes you have a 1-piece driveshaft.. plus.. by the time they got to making your year car they weren't using the 2 piece anymore on anything..

My 99 Firebird manual, which was made in late 98, has a two piece drive shaft.

just curious.. do you have drive by wire and the new straight intake or the angled like the 98's with a throttle cable?

I have the drive by wire and the straight intake. I guess my drive shaft was left over parts in the parts bin.
