Hi, sry about this n00b question. What is involved with building up the rear end? is it just replacing the gears? or is there other stuff to do such as the axles? My car is a 96 firebird.

The only difference I see between a build-up and a rebuild is that in a build up, you will be replacing your axles with moser shafts, throwing on a TA girdle and using a C-clip eliminator in addition to a rebuild which will replace all the bearings and seals, new gears and probably replacing your open differential with a posi.
If you are going to do all of that, look into a Moser 12 bolt. Your going to be at about 2/3 of the cost anyway.\'01 Mineral Grey SVT Cobra<br />-former F-body owner
