  • 4.10's in a 3.4?? Opinions??

I got a friend that is willing to trade brand new 4.10 gear set from SLP with all parts needed to install for 2 of my old salad shooter rims. THink this is overkill? I drive the car on the highway quite a bit.

I think that 4.10's are too steep for the 3.4L. I would go with 3.73's if you are gonna upgrade. Drop me a line for a price on the SLP 3.73 gear set.

If your trading for 2 salad shooters you may want to go ahead and do that then attemp to trade the 4.10's for 3.42's or 3.73's that way your not really out anything and you'll have gears that are a lot better suited to your car!

You could say goodbye to highway driving. 3:73 at the most bro.

Now if you had an A4, 4.10's wouldn't be bad at all! With the 4th gear ratio of 0.7:1 it would make the axle ratio look like 2.87.

              Do a calc...

MPH = (tire dia inches * RPM) / (gear *336)
