Is there really that big of a difference I know on paper its better but has anyone noticed a significant difference to justify, the money and working under the car on drivetrain stuff? ( I really really really hate working under a car on drivetrain stuff  )

LS1 vs. LT1 driveshaft...

From what I know there isn't really much difference at all and its not worth changing out unless you have a two piece driveshaft. Otherwise, naah. Only upgrade after that would be an all aluminum driveshaft or carbon fiber. ;) But expect those not to last long on the streets.Mustangs.. I think maybe he means ET Streets (tires).

I was more speaking of the Carbon Fiber driveshafts -- but aluminum does break too they are a whole lot better than the CF on the roads, but the CF driveshafts are notorious for breaking on street cars. LS1 will cost less for shipping, for one.
aluminum will reduce vibration when compared to the steelie, but not as well as the 2-piece.
aluminum does spin harder... sort of "feels" like better throttle response.
for the money you'd be much better off with LS1, considering your intentions for the car.

well difference in my situation is I already have a 1-peice steel just seeing if its worth going up to an ls1 driveshaft, I know its lighter, less rotational mass...
But is it $150ish worth of less rotational mass.

My buddy had a gas LT1,he broke an L1 drive shaft and went back to the LT1 Videshaft. I would just get the LS1 or a LT1 1LE, stock LT1 drive shafts are known for vibrating at 90+ speedsSo if your loud mouths shaking and your consoles vibrating
bald 17 inch ZR1s got you Trans Am skating

Anyone else have thoughts on LS1 vs. Lt1 driveshafts?
I now aluminum is weaker but I don't really plan on ever having 300hp with street tires and it seems ot hold up fine to that.

I'd go with the LS1. It can handle the stock LS1 cars fine, so if you don't plan on going with more power then that, you should be good. Aluminum is lighter and will spin up faster, so I'd stick with that over steel.
