I plan on removing my 700R4 and replacing with a stock 5-speed out of a Camaro. I need to know if anyone makes some kind of adapter for the speedometer. The manual used a cable while my car was designed for an electric signal. Any help is appreciated. I tried using the search engines but didn't come up with much.

try www.jagsthatrun.com they have all kinds of advice, and adapters for various motor swaps, and that is an issue that they talk about for some cars, I know they make a conversion for the T56 to get a manual output.

Hmmm,
That's a lot closer to want I found. But I don't see anything about converting a cable speedometer to an electric one for the manual transmission.

did you check to see if the electric sending unit from the auto fits the 5spd? gm is a great "parts bin" company, it is likely that the same gears and sending unit can be dropped in place of the cable driven unit.

Sorry, I was hoping the same thing. The diameter of the electric VSS is twice as big as the hole for the mechanical version.
