I was looking in my new RK SPORT mag and it has a lightweight flywheel. It says the stock flywheel is 30 pounds and the lightweight is only 8 pounds. I think this would be a good mod but would it fit? They say it will fit the LT1 and LS1 any chance for us v6's?

Nope, the fly on the V8 is larger than the one on the 6. The only option I know of for a light flywheel is to have the stock one lightened. SPEC (Star clutches) lightened mine. It cost $150 for the lightening, plus shipping both ways. However mine was the first one they'd done, and they found a natural imbalance in it. They had to do alot more work to keep the imbalance the way it was. They may charge more for it for any others they do, I haven't heard of anyone else doing this so I don't know. They only got about 5lbs off of mine, but that's a pretty good amount for a flywheel. I could only imagine what kind of difference an aluminum fly would make.-Travis
99 Trans Am, Pewter, A4 Forged, stalled, and cammed
85 Buick Regal WH1 T-Type It\'d be cool if it ran...
94 Camaro 3.4, Teal, M5 The daily beater
