Does anyone know what is going to happen if i plug in a Jet SCU2000 into a 98' firebird m5? if that won't work, are there any other ways to recalibrate my speedo? Thanks for the help!

scu2000 will not work with a manual.

Yeah, I know that it won't work... But I'm just saying, what is going to happen? Why exactly won't it work? Would it just not do anything at all or what?

It will work if you plug it in to a manual. But, it will be kind of funny.

When i had it connected to my car, (a 98 M5), it worked just fine, except everytime I came to a stop, the speedo would flash to 50 mph and then back to 0. Sometimes it was higher, sometimes lower, but not a big deal altogether.

Then, one day mine stopeed working. When I sent it in to be fixed, they said it broke because I installed it in the engine bay, and they said it is supposed to be installed inside the car.

Well, I just got bothered by it all and sold it and went with the techedge recalibrator, but now my speed limiter is lower.

Trade offs. Ugh.

i think those re-calibration programmers only correct speedos with gear ratios that you get from the factory... so if you got a 3.73 gear dont think it would even correct the speedo

That's incorrect. They can reprogram something like 6 or 7 different gear ratios and like 6 or 7 different tire sizes. Thats for the scu2000.

The techedge mini speedo recalibrator is limitless, except it doesnt fix the speed limiter.
