Is the 2 piece driveshaft on our sixers NOT strong enough for the Ls1? Do I NEED to replace it with the one piece alum. driveshaft?

The two piece driveshaft is a piece of junk. I have no idea why GM ever put that in a car. It was supposed to transmit less vibration to the passenger compartment than a 1 piece. In my experiance, my 95 Camaro felt much more "wobbly" than my 00 Firebird.
To answer your question, yes, you need to replace the driveshaft. Aluminum would be nice, but a factory 1 piece steel one would work just as well.<a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.fullthrottlev6.com</a><br /><a href=\"http://www.chitownracing.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.chitownracing.com</a>
