  • Do I need LSD?? (not the drug)

what does LSD do? and do I need it or is just the $240 ring and pinion from slp sufficient?

The slp package comes to like $700+!!!! a LOT of money. Will i get the same gains by getting just the ring and pinion or do I have to get all of it??

P.S. Rite now i have 3.08's and want 3.42's if that helps

LSD let's both your tire's spin, should only be like $100. Ring and pinion is what changes your gearing (I think), with 3.08's i doubt you need LSD, but if you upgrade gears you almost certainly will.

Nope. Posi trac has both tires spinning too. It's a little bit different then LSD though. With one tire spinning it is an open differential.

You have a 2 series carrier now, so if you're getting 3 series 3.42's, you'll need a new diff anyway and the $100 LSD is worth it. In fact, you'll pay enough for the install and everything, you might as well get the LSD. You will need an install kit for the gears and something to reprogram the car unless you want your speedo/odometer to be off.
