    im helping a friend mod his 3.8 4l60E, and this weekend we're going to be installing a new billet style 'vette servo but with more holding power and i was wondering if i need to get the vette piston too?

    Billet huh? Sounds cool. Although I don't know the awnser, you might call a good tranny place and ask.

        no you dont need anything else. just need the new servo. make sure you do this when the car is completely cool. that trans fluid stays warm for a very long time..

        basically all you do is drop tranny down enough to get to the servo then start disassembling it. make sure you put all the teflon rings on the new servo and everything is fitting tight. if not it will not build pressure and wont shift. i speak from experience
