it all depends on what you do, theres such a vast array of tranny mods from B&M's crappy shiftplus that boosts line pressure and does nothing but make you shift harder...no change in times, to new internals that hold pressure longer and shift harder, with chips and programming that change shift points available too...if your shift points change your times change, if it's just a servo or line pressure boost or something of that sort, times dont change much

I have both...
if you know how a auto works, then you know there's no clutch or anything to stop the power during shifts. It makes the shifts firmer, which helps slipping. Slipping is a big problem with autos. Also, I could tell, but I'm sure the shifts are faster. That helps too, by putting the power back on.
I read somewhere that autos that shift smoothy are for pure comfort, and it's actually bad on the trans. So firmer shifter may be jerky and uncomfortable, but are supposed to wear less on the trans.
You get that sporty feel, and passengers like it.

Depends on what parts you install...there are 3 different levels of parts you can install depending on the firmness of the shift.98 Bright Red Camaro
Too many mods to list....check my website
