It looks like the standard for V6 99 Automatic Camaros is the 3.23 years with an option of 3.42 gears. I bought mine used from a guy. Any idea how I'd tell which I have?

look at the sticker on the inside of your driver side door, has lots of alphanumeric codes on it. look for one that starts with gu then a number. 4 is 3.08, which is prolly what you have. most auto 6's came with 3.08's. you can do a search here and find out what all the codes for the gears are and there is a section on the main site that tells what just about all the codes mean.you can\'t get off if you don\'t get on

I wasn't smiling when I saw that code ;) . YOu can tell because there's more top end and there's isn't anything low end wise. (although I did floor it from a 5 mph roll and the dashboard cover (unvelcro-ed) flew in my lap ;) )1998 3.8 Camaro A4,
B&B Triflow CatBack,Whisper Lid,
1987 s10 Blazer 350 V8 shift kit,
