  • Top Speed on 3.42's

About 128 mph. Is this pretty consistent with everybody else? I was'nt redlined, but the car just would'nt go any faster..

our cars are governed at 118, your speedo must not be programed to work with the 3.42's. do you have the Y87 package or do you swap?

This should be moved to the Drivetrain section.

um...ever hear of the Hypertech Power Programmer? It removes the governor on 2000+ V6ers.

At 5,500 RPM mechanical top speed is 168 MPH with 3.42's

Shifting out of fourth gear (1:1) you should be at 124 MPH at 5,500 RPM.

4L60-E's have a 1:1 third gear. Same still applies.
