  • Smokemup.com Transmission gear ratios updated!

I use the Auto Math section of Smokemup.com a lot. Usually to help you guys out. Well, one of the pains I've always had was that they only listed the older T-5 ratios, not the new one as in our '97-02 V6 F-bodies. So, I finally wrote them and wouldn't you know it, the very next day they write me back saying its updated.

    Nice folks.

So now you don't have to sit there and enter all the values for each individual gear.

    Check it out
    www.smokemup.com.

Doesn't really help now that I have them memorized...
    3.75
    2.19
    1.34
    1
    .72
    <b>15.41</b> @ 89.80 & 15.45 @ <b>91.64</b>, 2.21 60ft, 3,440 raceweight, using <b>OEM</b> Equipment. <br />\'98 L67/M49 w/ 134,000 miles before spun bearing. \"<i>It\'s all stock, Baby</i>!\"

Too bad what you wrote is wrong though.

The gear ratios are in fact:
    3.75
    2.19
    1.41
    1.00
.74 or so, this is still disputed by several places but I know .72 isnt right. 0.76 is also too short. 2500RPM on P245/50R16s calibrated for 25.75" tires is ~81MPH. With a .74 thats ~80.4MPH, which is closer than the other 2 gear ratios. All the rest (1-4) are concrete cold correct.

Oh, and I got my gear ratios from chevrolet.com when they had the Camaro specs listed. I then doublechecked it with the # stamped in my tremec's case.
