Well, my transmission just went out on me so I'm looking into a rebuild and since its down I decided on getting a TC and a shift kit. I have always used TCI Torque Converters. In fact that's the TC that's been in my '69 Camaro SS since I first put it together. So I called them up last night and was like OK man I need you help. I want a stall rating of 2400-2600 but it has to be at that rating for my V6 not the small block V8 or big block V8. The guy told me OK that's no problem the only thing that determines the stall rating is the amount of torque your motor produces. We have had a few V6 F-body owners buy TC's from us with this same need and you need part #243015. This is a TCI Streetfighter 10" converter w/ lock-up and for a small block V8 it will stall in the range of 3000-3400. He estimated that with this stall I should stall at about 2300-2600. What do you all think about this TC and do you think I'm going to need to put an external transmission cooler? I have one in the radiator but do you think I should invest in a different one? Thanks a lot for your help. -Vic-
