I drive alot on the interstate...but also alot of running around town also. Should I leave my 3.23 gears and just get a torsen differential? Or get 3.42 gears with torsen differential also? Or would that totally screw up my top end/gas mileage? I was thinking about gettin 3.73 gears...but I think thats out of the question now. Let me know your opinions
I get 23 mpg on my 3.23 gears...What would I more than like Get on 3.73 gears? What about 3.42 gears? and what would be my rpms on those at about 65-70 mph? Please let me know your opinion.
3.73's!!!!! youw ill not regret it!!!!! RPM's at 70 are about 2600 and the car accelerates better in every gear, i still get 23-25mpg with the 3.73's...they arent as bad as people who DONT have them say they are!! get the 3.73's/LSD, i promise you wont be disappointed!!it will the best mod you have...

Roughly speaking, there is only about a 5% difference between 3.23 and 3.42 gears.
There is 10% between 3.08 and 3.42, and 10% between 3.42 and 3.73 gears.
So going from 3.23 to 3.73 would be 15%.
Make sure you check out speedometer, top speed limiter, and shift point issues before you decide to go with 3.73 gears.
3:42, evidence that I have read suggests that you will have a top speed somwhere in the range of 92-97 mph with 3:73's . I dont like the idea of owning a car that cant guy over 100, no matter how fast it gets there. Call me a nerd but I kinda value my top end (puts on anti flame suit as to avoid burns from 3:73 enthusiasts)
Got my 3.73 Strange gears today!! I paid $199 plus tax which is the same price I hace seen the Motive/Mosser gears. I'm happy. They go in first thing in the morning! :D :D
I run 323's and they perfect for nitroused runs.
I cruise at around 2350-2400 rpm's at 80 mph
342's were great n/a
Do you really want to have a speedo and odometer that is slightly off?
Can you deal with that?
If yes then get 342's, if not then stay with 323's
Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
nitrous et & mph: 12.168 & 110.95 mph, n/a 13.746 & 96.38 mph
2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8: 12.125, 116.45
2010 Ford Taurus SHO: no times yet
Now that ive driven my car with 3:42's I can safely and relaibly say that I love them. My top end seems to be intact while my low end is noticably stronger. The lsd makes a world of differance with traction as well.
