Besides the expected drop in gas mileage, I'm loving my 3.73's and LSD. To finish off my mods in the drivetrain department, I'm considering a used aluminum driveshaft from a 00' Z28 for $125.
I've heard many contradicting statements regarding the benefits of light weight drive-shafts. What do you guys think? Is it worth the cash?
Mods:<br />K&N FIPK, 3.73 gears, LSD, RK Sport Headers, Cut-off Cataylitic converter, Borla Rear-section dual exhaust, Eibach lowering springs, tinted windows, big sound system
Have you done any reprogramming to your computer with the 3.73s? I have them too and since I have a '98, no HPP3 for me. I'm just running with the speedo and odo being off. What do you do?
From what I hear it is a good mod to do I am thinking about getting one soon but I have to save a little bit more, its one of the mods you can feel when you have done it.

It's worth about a tenth in the quarter. So it's up to you if a tenth is worth $125...
I spent the money on one for mine. That's about the going rate per tenth. Except for nitrous which is a little cheaper.
I had the SLP Electronic Speedometer Processor installed and a local Chevrolet dealer's technician said I didn't need to adjust the PCM.
Everything went well except my abs light is on now. Apparently the Auburn LSD I opted for was 1/8th inches off the abs sensor light. Not too sure or very concerned about that though.
