yeah i just bought the transgo shift kit/corvette servo since apparently everyone buys those 2 at once (so i jumped right in and di the same thing!).
I was searching the message board a couple days ago and i found a post about the corvette servo not actually doing anything or something like that. I guess i'll find out in a week or so.

For my 98 it was a pain to get the servo out. I had to drop the tranny to let it sit on the engine mounts that way I could get the servo out. All you need to is drop it 4" and you will be fine. It's easy to drop the tranny if you don't let us know and I am sure I am not the only one that will reply to your question. But you should get the servo and the TransGo at the same time. I got both of mine for $109 plus shipping. If I find the site Ill post it. Oh yea and servos usually run about $15 if you look around.98 Camaro A4
Y87, Y3F, GU6 3.42 Gears, TransGo Shift kit Stage II with Corvette Servo, ZR1 Ram Air Intake, Air Silencer mod, SLP Quad Center Exhaust w/Flowmasters 80 Series, Suncoast Z Style Hood, K&N Air and Oil Filter, 180 Thermo, homemade Manual Fan switch, Clear Corner Lights, Reflective rear Camaro decal, Clear Coat Camaro Grill with Silver Camaro letters, SLP Badge, Y87 Rear decal

I got mine for an 87 700R4 from Art Carr, and yes it was a good addition, it also has a higher fluid capacity than the vette style and increases the 2-3 holding pressure which I felt immediately, I'm not sure if the newer OD's have a throttle boost valve like the 700, but if they do, pick up the larger one with a .500 relief orfice and it'll be bangin shifts safely.Just Passin Gas !!
WESTONS PERFORMANCE
THE BODY SHOP BY RON
The Desktop Horsepower Wallpaper and Pics
www.goDragRacing.com

Yes, the corvette servo works. I believe it applies on all 4 gears, I'll have to double check. Anyhoo, the basic theory behind it is that it has a larger frontal area than our stock one. Larger frontal area means more pressure without boosting the line pressure, so it applies and holds harder. I had one installed when I had my tranny rebuilt, and it makes a definite difference.Wife and a dog, they both think they\'re Kujo.

1999 3.8 A4 Y87
Navy Blue Metallic
BFG G-Force KDWS 275/40/17s,
WS6 Wheels (17x9)
Phoenix Transmissions 2400 Stall Converter
FRA, Holley Powershot filter, Whisper Lid, Ported Throttlebody
2000 manifolds, Flowmaster, WS6 Tail Pipes,
MSD 8.5mm Wires, MSD Coils, Autolite plugs
Performance Cryogenics treated rotors
1LE Sway Bars and panhard rod, 1LE front springs w/SLP Bilsteins, stock rear springs w/ 3rd Gen Bilsteins, BMR STB, KBDD SFCs, 1LE rear lower control arms, 1LE front lower control arms
1968 Chevelle Malibu 327 TH350
