    its known that 2000+'s(?) have a looser stall. i can believe that 2400. thats why you'll see 2000+ cars running such great times with a stock converter.

      Redbird00 doesn't know what he's talking about. The technical data base is wrong about the 1800rpm stall, at least on the newer cars.

      I guarantee you that my car, which is new (3600 miles), and unmodified, brake torques to 2400rpm.

      From a stop, if I quickly floor the throttle from idle, the rpms flash to over 2500 and the rear tires break loose and continue spinning for a few seconds until they hookup.

      No way, no how does my car have an 1800rpm stall.

      MingisDew 31186 asked if anyone had a converter between 2100 and 3000 stall -- thats why I posted.
