  • Trans Mount Time!

After installing the LSD my car jolts off the line really hard. The wheel hop sucks, but even worse is the tranny banging the trans tunnel. I don't care much about vibrations or anything, but here is my question... Are there any poly mounts that will fit without modification? How much modification is needed (if at all)? 1LE sounds ok, but I don't want to have to do this twice, If i can put a poly one on, I will.
    Experiences/suggestions welcoms.
    Thanks.

i have 2000 of course 4l60e and it is the Poly mount from http://www.tbyrnemotorsports.com/v6catalog.html

it is the energy suspention one. Only motification is u need to make another hole in the tranny crossmember where the boolt goes through the crossmeber and the tranny mount reall easy u just take the crossmenber out and then drill or use a dremel to grind away a bigger opening u will see what i mean but u will have to do this with anything other than the stock mount.

I have the poly on mine. I was a little scared when I installed it the first time because the whole car shook like crazy. After about a day, it calmed down and feels fine now. As far as the 3.4L V6 mounts, the poly one is A LOT better.

I have a 1Le tranny mount and a poly torque arm bushing.....

no vibrations... lowers your shifter a little bit though. Gives you some clearance issues with the lower gears and the plastic piece around the shifter... but then agian mine was broken when my car was broken.
