Since everyone asks about gas milage and RPMs if they switch gears, I thought I would make a chart to help visualize it. I used Dom's equation that he posted in another topic to make the chart. For tire size I used 26.2 inch diameter. This I determined from here. I used the tire size 215/60R16.
The transmission ratio was determined on a 1996 Camaro convertable with a 4L60-E transmission using AutoTap.
I looked through a few posts about gear swaps, and the RPMs in the chart seem to line up fairly well with the real world numbers members are posting.
