There is no reason for putting a shift kit in your car. It will not go any faster. You can get one for $93 if you really want.

All the do is increase the pressure. You can have firmer shifts by getting billet servos. Those require red lined Alto Bands though. Then you'll need a few other parts. So what I'm getting at is, either leave the transmission alone or get a mild buildup.

If you do it then get a stage 2 at most. Don't do 3. Line pressure is a good thing in the right amount, but like any thing you can get carried away. This is one of the reasons that the stage 3 is not good for a street car. Go too far and you start breaking things, impact load during shifts cuts into the life of hard parts like shafts and gear sets.
