I bought a used Zexel Torsen and it didn't come with a pinion shaft (the bar that runs through the middle of the differential). Does anyone know the part number, or the vehicle that a zexel came standard on, so I can order one.

That is what I thought, and I did use the old one when I put it in. Now 500 miles later something is messed up. It's fine while driving straight, but sounds like the entire rearend is going to fall out when I go around a turn. Then I read this from a recent install review of a zexel:
"9. Insert the pinion shaft. The Zexel one is flat, not round. I had to wiggle the gears around a bit to get it to drop in."
So I thought that may be my problem. Any suggestions???Old Car = 12.679 @ 106.5 on 150 dry shot.

No, you can't use it. The open diffy one is round and zexel one is rectangular. Just try calling around to some junk yards. Shouldn't cost more than a couple bucks.2000 Camaro M5
Whisper Lid, K&N Filter
B&M Ripper shifter
Zexel LSD
B&B Catback
Polished Engine Components, Polished Calipers
SFCs
