I have a 1994 Camaro with the 3.4 and an automatic transmission. I was wondering if anyone has ever bolted a Z28 Rear right into the car, I mean take out the old V6 Rear and just put the Z28 Rear end in with the disc brakes. I want to convert my brakes over to disc anyway, I have already read the article that was posted about them on this site. And another question I have is do I have to reflash my computer because of the change in gears.

Yes, swapping the Z28 rear end is the easiest way to to get LSD gears and disc brakes. People do it all of the time. Just make sure you get the right year for TCS and what not.
Yes, you'll have to reflash your PCM for the change in gears. You can drive without re-flashing, but your speedometer will be off and your limiter will be lower.-Kevin
\'96 White Camaro RS M5
GTP Shortblock - T3/T4 -6psi Intercooled
Open Downpipe

Keep in mind;
The Z28 rear is a "Direct Bolt-In". No modds needed. Any 93 thru 97 Z28 rear will work perfectly for your 94 3.4.
The only thing you'll need is Emergency Brake Cables for disk brakes. The ones currently on your drum setup are not compatible. Other than that, you're good to go! :Dsigpic

I did it too, put a 2000 in my 99. Great rear end. Easy swap. Had it done in two hours using a friends shop. Speedo still off though :( Went from open 3.08's to LSD w/3.42's.Jessica :)
Kansas: There\'s no place like home...99 Firebird Blown/6lbs, Eaton w/3.42\'s CI headers Z28 Exaust
CAI, #36 injectors Intense PCM

older cars, OBDI think is harder, newere ones you can do it wiht hypertech, or hptuners.
But in my opinion if your cars is old and you hae a 5-speed, doesn't matter if your speedo is off, just know by how much and your fine, only thing to worry about is your odometer. But if your car is like 100+k doesn't really matter too much what your mileage is.-Eric
2000 NBM V6 Camaro 5-speed T-top converted
14.467@95.45mph $0 in mods
The member formerly known as MustangEater8251
