When I take off at WOT my car accelerates slowly until 6k rpms then slowly drops to 5k then shifts into second. Is my tranny shot?

If you are pulling high RPM's and not moving much, yep unless you are incredibly low on tranny fluid, you are describing a tranny failure.

LMAO, WOT= Wide Open Throttle/ Aka: Pedal to the metal.

I know all about tranny failure. Rebuilt once, replaced clutch Replaced throw-out bearing twice.<---B itch with a capital B!

Yes, your tranny is starting to slip, it could be the torque converter, also check the fluid like Jessica said.

Fluid is fine. Looks like its time to give TA Creations USA a call.
