not really worth the money... you used to be able to get a take off from SLP for $99, they're all gone now, but a new one will likely cost in the region of $300 (Correct me if i'm wrong), i don't think its worth it when a junk yard/ebay one would work perfectly for half the price, if not less.

for the record, i have a t/o SLP one and its perfect

I just bought a whole used rear end with the LSD and the gear ratio I wanted in it. Bolted right up. I have a 99, the axle was a 00. 350 dollars. $0 install, did it myself. I had them put in an Eaton instead of the Zexel.

When it comes down to the V6 with an eaton or a zexal you don't realy have to worrie wich one is stronger to much.
But what they do and how they work.
The eaton will ware out over time.
The zexal will last 100,000 of miles.
The eaton is a clutch locking type diff.
The zexal is a gear locking/slip biasing differential.
For my V6 I have a zexal waiting to go in when I get home. I want to drive it and have fun handling the car.
For my z28 I have an eaton, I want to beable to slam the gas and hook it.
I got the eaton for the z28 because it would lock and send my car moving and it is strong.
I got the zexal becasue it would help traction a lot and it was cheap (low $ big improvement).
SLP was selling slightly used zexals for $110 shipped, new there around $450.
I got the eaton off ebay for less then $220 shipped.

(low torque) dont need as much traction as a z28
