my tranny has seemed like it has had problems for a while now, harder than normal shifts from 1st to 2nd, and now taking WAY too long to shift from 3rd to OD while at highway speeds
i just changed my tranny fluid (didnt flush it, just drained it) and changed the filter, and it is still not shifting correctly

Mine has also been doing that ever since I did the cam install in my car.
No codes for the transmission either. I was going to get around to posting a question similar to this. I am curious now that a stock motor is also causing a similar problem.
Mine will cruise at like 2800rpm at 80mph for a good minute or two before it finally decides its ok to shift into overdrive. It's weird...its acting like it has 5 speeds because I'll slide it down into drive, and it will downshift...slide it down into second and it'll go into second. Really weird.

Uhh where was that mentioned? He even said he changed his fluid.

lol i guess its just a mystery problem that we're going to have to deal with...like the rattling in our cars too. My car is a polished POS junk heap. I would feel guilty to sell it to anyone. I'm going to keep it and give it to my kid if gasoline is still being sold 20 years from now.

If I were you, spend the money on taking it to a tranny shop and diagnosing it. I know my dreaded P1870 code was only discovered in freeze frame mode...meaning it wasn't an active code, they had to scan the codes in the PCM's memory. So you may have problems and your SES isn't coming on.

yea mine came up P1870.. Tranny shops wanted anywhere from $1300 - 2000 to rebuild the valve body.
So i talked to my mechanic and he said that he has ordered a couple rebuilt 4L60Es on ebay for 2 vettes he worked on and they are performance rebuilt and $1000 - $1100
Im pretty sure thats the trans hes talking about i mean i dunno check the guys feedback, looks reliable to me. Even says on the ebay discription that "This transmission also has had sonnax 1870 code updates, for both pump and valve body."
