off hand jsut wondering if it was completely worth it...
one of my biggest problems is coming out of a corner and being at like 3k rpms in 2nd, slowly creaping up to speed, and if I shift down to 1st, the motor screams for a 2nd then I have to shift ot 2nd...
Just another thought of 4.10s in my head.

It would help to pull you out of the corner. As would a really good clutch, alum flywheel and alum driveshaft. They will all allow you to build up your RPM's faster to get you into your powerband. Aside from that your wheel/tire combo will be key.
well obvioulsy... I was just asking for people wit "REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE" (you know I like that kind of stuff ;) )
and no not going to get an aluminum flywheel, we already discussed how its not ideal for drag applications.

Depends on how your region sets up courses. Some clubs tend towards more open courses that our stock gears are great for, others like tighter stuff that I wish I had "first and a half" gear on that the 4.10's would help. With 4.10's you might be stuck riding the rev limiter or needing to hit 3rd for a little bit on open courses.
One thing to consider - our cars (at least my dyno graph) make great torque down low - 200@2200rpm, 210@2500rpm vs peak 220@3700rpm - it only _seems_ like the car's lugging down there when in fact it's doing pretty good, a big advantage over the 4-bangers with their narrower useable torque range.
So, my advice is to consider the speeds you're hitting in your region's events. If most events you're touching 50 with stock 3.23's, you'll be bouncing off the limiter with 4.10's at 47mph.

I am just toying with the idea... maybe I should start loggin my autocorss runs and see where I am getting in mph, its always so hard to tell because you never watch the guages. I have rare occasion neared the limiter in 2nd... but usually a spot where it wouldn't hurt me to shift to 3rd too bad but you did bring up some good points.
just debating because I am considering them for the strip as well.

I really think 3.73's would be fine for you, do you really want to spend the extra money for the paddles for such a small difference? Either way i think a gear swap would be the best mod you could do for auto-x. Let me know when you decide to do the gears, I'd be happy to help.
