My camaro has 120k miles, and the previous owner said he hadn't replaced the clutch. Like I mentioned before I'm getting a weird loss of power from about 2000-3000RPM when the engine is under load. It feels like something isn't catching, like something is slipping. It's like a weird surging thing. Could it be the clutch slipping? Would it just do it at that RPM? My other guess would be the fuel injectors, or maybe the fuel filter.
Got any ideas? I sure apprecite the help!

Get up to cruising speed in 5th gear, then mash on the gas. If your RPMs rev up and the car doesn't accelerate at all, then your clutch is slipping. If it slips, its all down hill from there. Gradually over time it will rev higher before it catches, then one day it won't catch at all. :(
