I'm getting my shift kit and t/c installed on wen. I really want to get and lsd. Would it be stupid to get and lsd on my stock gears? I was planning on getting 3.73's. Wheres the best place to get gears, and and lsd?

Depends on what your stock gears are. If 3.08, I would take to opportunity to upgrade to a 3.42 or better while you have the diff appart (when putting in LSD). If you already have a 3.42, you wouldn't see much gain from a 3.73 gear.
Edit: Just realized... if you had a 3.42 gear, you'd also have a LSD, so I guess you'd have to have a 3.08. In that case, you'd need a 2 series carrier, with which you could only change to a higher (numerically lower) gear. My suggestion: get a 3 series carrier and a 3.42 or better gear. Another thing that might affect gear selection- what stall/STR is the new converter?

Know what the STR on that verter is? If it has a very high STR (which I doubt) then 3.73s might make coming off the line kind of a pain without stickies. Do you ever plan on spraying this car? If you do, then I would stick with a 3.42 gear. If you want a good NA car, then 3.73s might be better for you, but you would need to make sure your car likes the upper RPMs. 3.73s w/ a 3300 stall will keep you up there alot.-Travis
99 Trans Am, Pewter, A4 Forged, stalled, and cammed
85 Buick Regal WH1 T-Type It\'d be cool if it ran...
94 Camaro 3.4, Teal, M5 The daily beater
