what kind of transmission does my 00 v6 5-speed have? what short shifters are compatible with it? how much power do you think it can hold? i'm wanting to reach around 350hp, what clutch would you recomend? is there any kind of trans swap i can do like maybe a 6-speed or a tremec?

5. search; any swap for a non OE transmission is going to involve lots of fabrication and won't really be worth the time & money.
as far as the tremec or TKO swap, you will need a custom bellhousing at least; they also have different input shafts, yokes, and speedo outputs. technically, your transmission is a tremec since tremec bought the rights to the T5, but it's not a 3550. sorry.
