if its stock it should be the same as the converter you have then. im not a 100% sure but there cant be much of a difference between stock stalls.

took me wrong...i have a tranny coming tuesday from 3.4 slow to go..i need to get a torque converter for it...i would rather prefer somewhat of a stall converter over a stock replacement..nothing major just in the 2000 to 2200rpm range...everything i find is $300 dollars or more..don't really wanna spend that much on a converter..am just wondering if anybody knew of one cheaper...98 bird Y87 SLP cai Msd Super Conducters Msd coils Splitfire Triple Platinums big bad Corvette servo

Why do you want something with that low of a stall for? I don't think a 2200 stall is worth buying. Your converter isn't just some thing you buy like an intake, its more like a cam. It needs to be spec'd out for your car.2005 Cavalier LS Sport M5
http://members.cardomain.com/firefighter8615

basically a bone stock car..torque #'s on a stock car hit around 4000rpms...if i were to get a proper setup i'd need around a 3,000 or 3,300 stall...that's way too steep for me..i just got a corvette servo and plan on a transgo shift kit..from my understanding the stock stall speed is around 1300rpm's..?? figured somewhere around a 1000rpm's over stock would be a happy medium..nothing ridiculous but better than stock...98 bird Y87 SLP cai Msd Super Conducters Msd coils Splitfire Triple Platinums big bad Corvette servo

I have an edge 3000 stall and its great for daily driving, I think it cost me 400. They can custom make you anything you need. Really depends on your plans for the car. Dont go cheap and dont go that small if you plan on modding later. A 2800 would be the smallest Id go if I were looking for converters.

don't wanna spend no where near $400 bucks on one..how bad did it hurt your gas mileage? how does it take off in the rain?? i occassionally would have to drive it in the snow "if it snows while i'm stuck at work"..that high of a stall seems like it'd cause me a helluva problem..maybe i'm way off i don't know??98 bird Y87 SLP cai Msd Super Conducters Msd coils Splitfire Triple Platinums big bad Corvette servo

I lived in Miami Fl. where its possibly the worst place in the US for rain storms and I NEVER had a problem. Its not like it tears A$$ whenever you touch the throttle, its the same as stock, just more efficient.
Honestly I dont think there was much of a change in gas mileage at all, maybe a mpg or so but thats it. If you dont wanna spend near 400 than you should just stick with the stocker cause thats a dam good price for one.

for a good torque converter u will easily spend at least $800, so 400 seems like a good price if the converter is decent, because our converters are 12" u will pay more then you would pay for most cars witch have 9.5" or 10" converters
i have never changed the converter in my car but from what i have heard is that they are not worth it unless you are running 4.10s, or over 350 # of torque
this information may not all be correct im just going by what i've heard from others and what i've read on other web sitesK&N air filter, Whisper air lid, magnaflow LT1 cat back, and magnaflow high flow cat, pacesetter headers, silverstars

more to come soon
but for now im out of money
