when i did mine it was the biggest pain in the *** in the world to get that back on. Those two screws are huge and a pain to line it up right...

        good luck and have fun.

you lost your pinion angle when you took it off originally. make sure you get it right when you put it back in or you will be in for some differential heartache.

Erm, what were you removing the torque arm for to replace the driveshaft? I'll admit that top bolt that holds the center bearing to the torque arm isn't pleasant to get to, but it wasn't impossible.

Did you have a jack under the rear housing? If you did the housing shouldn't have moved. If you don't feel like screwing with putting the stocker back on go buy an adjustable arm ;)

ya, i had to jack mine up as well than stick a screw driver in the other screw hole to line it up right. Sounds like you gotten it back on by now so i hope everything went okay for ya

FWIW: It would have been easier to remove the torque arm (TA) at the clamshell mount near the transmission, bolt the TA to the differential, then reinsert the TA in the clamshell. It shouldn't have took more than 5 minutes doing it this way and you wouldn't have had to fight with it. ;)

Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner. Glad you got it back on, though! :D
